Well i loved it.  Sorry Jin, nice knowing you, but your character came full circle...

I'm assuming jermeny Bentham had to be Lockes alter identity for when he surfaced back in the states since everyone knows him to have died in the crash...here is wiki's jeremy bentham page:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeremy_Bentham

The O6 all knew John as Bentham, there is a lot of story to be told between them getting off the island and his funeral.

We saw the Portuguese folks with Penny on the boat from last season.

Sun is gonna own Widmore in the future

Hurley lied to Walt about not telling his father got blown to bits on the freighter...unless christian saved him at the last moment.

Faraday is also dead, with Jin.

Interesting that the other freighter chick said she was trying to go back to where she was born...implying she was born on the island, which would mean her mom didnt conceive on the island but she was born there.

Where did the island go? ow did ben get from the cold icy area of the island to the middle if the desert from last epi?  Did he pass tombstones on the way??

Got way much more to think about, but i loved it.  More tomorrow.

and looks like we have a new ARG on our hands?

The commercial for  www.Octagonglobalrecruiting.com

Mentions the Dharma Initiative and had ABC/Disney privacy policy

I agree with you on the www.Octagonglobalrecruiting.com ARG

excellent finale, good blend of answering questions and creating more puzzles for next season.
With all the technical gear in all the stations, I thought it was ironic that a mechnical wheel was used to move the island, also there many symbols and glyphs in the tunnel and the room where the wheel was.
Like you TI, more later after a rewatch

Favorite lines - Hurley "I have conversations with dead people all day, I don't need paranoia piled on" and "check Mr. Eko" - Ben "if you mean time traveling bunnies..... then yes"

Favorite moment - Yay for Dharma Rum

Hi, it's been awhile

That episode I thought was really great, had a lot of great lines (besides the others I also like Ben's lines about the "time traveling bunnies" and also what he said to Jack about the island moving since they couldn't see it.

It was also sad too, glad Sawyer was heroic/loved kate to jump, but I still could have slapped him lol. And the Des/Pen reunion was sweet.

Oh and the fact that Sun said there are more people on the island?!

And of course the best part - a new ARG

Oh BTW, did you girls/guys all see the alternate endings?

If Penny came to the island because of Desmond's call, then that makes the listening station scene at the end of season 2 the first flash forward.

Where is Sayid taking Hurley?

The theory that Widmore will hide Penny on the Island gained some validity with Ben not being able to return.

No that's what I saw too. I didn't like seeing Sawyer there even if it wasn't real lol.

Do you mean the scene where the guys "see" the island I think it was after the hatch blew up?

A couple of other highlights for me:

Sawyer calling Frank “Kenny Rogers.”

Yunjin Kim’s performance when Sun sees the freighter blow up. Stunning.

Hurley’s response when Jack denies that Locke moved the island: “Oh really? Cause... one minute it was there and the next it was gone... so... unless we like overlooked it, dude? That’s exactly what he did. But... if you’ve got another explanation man, I’d love to hear it.

The rabbit has a 15 on it.
When Frank notices the fuel is dropping, it’s at 4.
When Sayid asks the man in the car what time it is, he says 8:15 just before Sayid shoots him.

What did Sawyer tell Kate right before he jumped out of the helicopter? I’m assuming he told her about his daughter... if so, how long will it take for her to put together that Clementine is the daughter of her friend Cassidy?

What does Sun mean when she says “we’re not the only ones who left the island”... is she referring to those who died? Ben? Locke?

When the island disappeared, the people on the raft near the island (i.e. Dan and Co.) disappeared, too. Did they go to the same place as the island?

The voice on the phone in Kate’s dream says “The island needs you. You have to go back before it’s too late.”

I agree.  Her pain was unbelievably real.

I was so happy Hurley finally spoke up.  Jack's been deserving that for a long time to wake him up and get him to pull his head out of his ass.  It seemed like he finally put it together that Locke was right.  What still puzzles me is why it takes three years for any of them (with the exception of Hurley) to want to go back - at least from what we've seen so far.

I heard a cleaned up version of that on some site or another.  He tells Kate to find his daughter and tell her he's sorry

At the time I saw it, I thought she meant Des, but if he's hiding from Widmore she must have meant Ben

Excellent episode!

One of the more intriquing aspects of the S4 finale was the new glimpse we got of Charlotte's story.

MILES: "Are you really going to leave when it took you so long to get back here?"

That line and her later conversation with Daniel about still looking for where she was born, perked my brain up.

If you can believe Ben, her name is Charlotte Staples Lewis. Born 07/02/1979, Essex, England. Parents David and Jeanette. Eldest of three, all girls. She was raised in Bromsgrove. Did her undergraduate studies at Kent. Took her PhD in Cultural Anthropology at Oxford

At this point, my guess is that she was born on the island, and somehow left as an infant, adopted and raised by David and Jeanette Lewis. When she looks at the polar bear collar in the desert, I thought her recognition of the Dharma symbol was for professional reasons, but now I thnk it was a clue for her in her search for where she was born.
And when I first saw her cut herself out of her parachute and come out of the water smiling, I thought it was because she was glad that she wasn't stuck in the tree anymore. But upon a rewatch, I see now that it is sheer joy on her face as she looks around at her surroundings, a look of happiness and recognition as to where she is.

Could she be a Dharma baby, born before the purge?
