The forum is hosting a rewatch from the Pilot through the end of Season 3. As you are aware, the hiatus will be a LONG one, as Lost Season 4 is slated to start in January 2008 ala 24 style with no repeats.

By rewatching the series to date, we should be able to rexplore various discussion topics and hopefully learn some new clues about where the story of LOST is heading. We'll be bumping up the old Episode threads prior to the start of each episodes rewatch week and discussion can be held in the episode specific threads, General Discussion, Theories & Speculation, and Revisiting General Discussion.


Here is the anticipated schedule for Seasons 1 and 2 -- I am optimistic by October the Season 3 DVD will be out for us but you never know.

Yay Pen!  I'm totally floored.  I had no idea we would have to watch 3 epis a week to get us through the hiatus.  It will breeze by!  I signed up to be notified by Amazon when the release date for the Season 3 DVDs is set.  We'll see how that works out

Yeah, S1 and 2 will be good, but depending on when I can get the S3 DVD's...... LOL.

I have most of S3 on my tivo. I realized when making the rewatch we will have trouble with S3 because some people may not purchase it right away, or it may not even be out until close to Christmas. If that happens, we could always feature a few episodes and revisit the episode threads for discussion. I have close to 10 on tivo but I am missing the first few I think. At least this season is fresh in our minds

Yeah, those who don't have them available for rewatch can still discuss anyway - we've all seen the epi's.

At least one benefit from having to *ahem* acquire the episodes somewhere else - I have all of S3 on dvd`s already lol.

Maybe you will be available to watch S3 on abc.com or something?

since they are going to show repeats of the whole series, now would be a ggod time to get friends to watch and maybe expand the membership of our forum. I know I've got some friends that don't watch it because they feel they have missed to much.

I love this idea!

Season 3 may be a problem for some. The first 2 seasons came out on dvd in September, each about 1 month prior to the start of the new season. 24, which runs its new season in January, released the last season dvds in early December - again one month before the new season started, and just in time for Christmas. It won't surprise me if Lost follows that suit.

I have most of season 3 on the dvr, and if I haven't lost them (pun intended) I should still have the first few episodes on tape.

GB, that's a good idea about trying to get others to watch. I know I had mentioned that we were going to do this to my oldest son, and he's planning on rewatching right along with me.

I'm also surprised at how many eps we will have to watch at a time to get through them, and I'm excited because it should make the hiatus fly by!

I think that is an excellent idea as well GB. I don't know if there is any way to promote our plan -- I'll do a mass bulletin on myspace about it but beyond that I am not sure how much more advertising we can get beyond good old fashioned word of mouth

It appears that at least one person here will have the ability to watch each S3 episode -- Rain has them all, I have most of them, Jeannie too. So if we all don't have access, maybe whomever has them can lead a discussion that week on the episodes being watched??

The only reason that I don't have all the episodes on dvr, is that we didn't have a dvr until after the first few were aired. We have the same rule at our house... no deleting them until the dvds are in my possession!

The only one I don`t have is "Expose" - I was burning them to DVD`s the other day, and for some reason that particular epi kept messing things up on my computer. After realizing "when will I EVER actually want to watch that particular episode", I decided it just wasn`t worth the effort

We had a tivo problem that caused the loss of the first 3-5 episodes but it looks like we have enough members here to cover it -- great! I'll adjust our schedule soon to cover S3 starting in mid-October.

Ah, well.  I spoke too soon.  I woke this morning to find my DVR box malfunctioning (no menu or guide or anything).  Comcast tells me they'll have to switch out the box for a new one.  Bye, bye Lost and Heroes  And they can't do the switch until Saturday, so no replays for me this week  

Oh that sucks, WOC.

I checked last night, and I have all of season 3 except for the first two episodes on the dvr.

That is how I lost some of S2 last year WOC -- It does suck. My tivo broke and I lost EVERYTHING saved on it.... I feel your pain!!
