Benry's offer to take Jack home is a pretty strong carrot to dangle in front of Jack. He must want something from Jack that he can't get from Sawyer or Kate. Does he want Jack to deliver the rest of the losties over to them? Does he want Jack to join them, to be an operative (for lack of a better term) in the real world? Or does he want something from Jack that has to do with his father?
Whatever it is, I think it is something only Jack can provide. The proof is if nothing else but the fact that he is kept in a seperate location and not on work detail with like Sawyer and Kate.

I think that since Jack is the self proclaimed Losties leader that Benry believes breaking jack down and getting him to convert to "the others" way of life then the rest of the Losties will follow.  And as far as Sawyer and Kate, if they can tame those two.  Anyone can be tamed. LOL

See my post in Season 3 thread. I think the value Jack has is that he is a medical doctor. I think that Benry needs Jack to perform some medical procedures to help them be able to leave.

I agree with you VM I think it definately has something to do with the fact Jack is a doctor, and Benry is somehow in need of his services. I think is has to do with how Jack miraculously saved Sara's legs. The Others seem to know an awful lot about her and Jack for that matter. I was talking about this with a co-worker this morning.  

I just hope that Jack agrees to help out Benry because I think that will be the only way that we will learn more about what they are doing over there. If he continues to sit there and refuse, well, he is just going to continue to sit there and that will be boring.
