  • Matthew Fox (Jack) is flying to Los Angeles to shoot a flashback scene featuring Julie Bowen (ex-wife Sarah). The scene will be shot on the very hospital sets used to film Grey's Anatomy. Source: Van Matthews

  • There will be another Jack-centric episode before the season ends. Paul Terry from the official Lost magazine was on the show and said this was true: "they've said - if this episode doesn't completely spin you out and leave you talking about it all through summer, then they're not doing their jobs right." But it's a Jack episode.  I usually forget Lost was on after his episode.  Unless they are refering to Locke and Cooper.

  • Sawyer is going to be getting quite a surprise this season, something that he never thought would happen is about to happen. We're going back to some very core issues that Sawyer has dealt with since the very beginning of the show and the exploration of that should bring him some nice surprises. He will definitely have a very interesting trek with Locke. [We will explore] what's going on with Cooper, what's going on with Locke, what's going on with Locke and the Others and what Locke has been doing since he's been away from camp. Source:Lost Magazine

  • Jack will break a leg in this episode, presumably from trying to save Charlie from another accident. SourcearkUfo

  • Damon and Carlton confirm that we won't see Locke until episode 19. Source: April, 5th official podcast

Also Lostpedia is speculating this could be a Locke/Cooper centric episode:
  • According to Cuse, the Locke/Daddy arc will pay off in episode 19, which airs on May 2. Will we see another Locke flashback story again this season? Lindelof: Maybe. Source:3-28-07: Doc Jensen

DarkUfo now claims there will be no flashbacks in this episode:

A highly-placed insider has just set my hinder straight on the batting order for the final episodes of “Lost” this season.

The bad news? As reported by TV Guide’s Michael Ausiello, the season will indeed not end with a Benjamin Linus flashback two-parter.

The good news? We’ll be getting Ben’s flashbacks even sooner! He’ll be the focus of 3.20, the episode previously believed to be DeGroot-centric. (If you’re thinking Dharma masterminds Karen and Gerald DeGroot will still turn up in that episode, I’d guess you’re thinking right.)

The shocking news? After years of privately and publicly nagging the producers of “Lost” to cut back on the flashbacks, I can report that 3.19 is slated to be the first-ever flashback-free episode in the series’ history.

The absent flashbacks for that episode, says my source, “won't even be missed.”

“The episode,” he or she adds, “focuses on one of season one's ‘mysteries’ - if that's the right word.”

What I am assured is the true flashback order:
3.17 Desmond Hume
3.18 Jin & Sun Kwon
3.19 no flashbacks!
3.20 Benjamin Linus
3.21 Charlie Pace
3.22-23 Jack Shephard

Yeah, seems strange, but maybe it'll go over well. It may be a smart thing to do, anyways. They can only do so much in flashbacks before they run out of material.

Yeah I was thinking that too ILE, that maybe they are slowly preparing us for more episodes without flashbacks? I mean, the last Kate flashback for example, didn`t IMHO offer much new insight too her character.

Yay for Jack breaking his leg
Boo for a 2 hour Jack flashback instead of Ben.
Boo for no Tom flashback.

If that is not a foiler about him breaking his leg - potentially the rest of the series he could be laid up or in a wheelchair. I just realized that doesn't make much sense since he is the main character.

Maybe Jack will just be breaking a leg off the ping pong table.

Juliet What is that?
Richard Alpert That is orange juice...with a considerable amount of Dharma Calms Forte mixed in.
Juliet You want me to drink it?

  • Locke breaks away from the Others to try to persuade Sawyer to help get rid of a common nemesis; a new island inhabitant discloses shocking information about the survivors' flight Source: WCHSTV

I'd imagine this common nemesis between Sawyer and Locke will be Cooper. Makes most sense considering other spoilers.

I am uber interested in this "shocking information" about the flight... and I am also going to assume the person telling them (ie: new inhabitant) will be the parachutist a.k.a. Bob.

"new island inhabitant" --- Penny???? Or Bob as ILE says.

I agree that the common nemesis is Cooper. We've been waiting for this reveal.

It's now being reported this will be a Locke-centric episode:

  • UPDATE!! Another reputable source told us late last night that 3.19 WILL contain flashbacks, and they'll be Locke flashbacks. So I called my original source (the one who said no flashbacks for 3.19), and that source said my latter source was right. The original source got confused because all of Locke's flashbacks are very RECENT flashbacks. All apparently take place on Dharma Island (or thereabouts) subsequent to Ben reintroducing Locke to his daddy (the last time we all saw Locke). So the real, true and now double-confirmed flashback order is:

3.17 Desmond Hume
3.18 Jin & Sun Kwon
3.19 John Locke
3.20 Benjamin Linus
3.21 Charlie Pace
3.22-23 Jack Shephard

Locke slips away from the others and lures Sawyer away from the beach. Flashbacks will reveal what Locke has been up to with the others since they abandoned their 'village'. In a secluded Dharma holding cell, Locke will bring Sawyer together with Anthony Cooper for a fate full encounter that will resolve a long standing season one mystery. Meanwhile, Naomi will return to the beach with some alarming information concerning flight 815, but can she be trusted? Source: BuddyTV
