And if Charlie does in fact die? "That's fine," he says with a shrug. "This job is going to end for everyone. I've achieved everything that I wanted to do. It's been a fantastic opportunity for me, and it's done exactly what I wanted it to do: distance me from playing a hobbit (in TheLord of the Rings) and have people in America know I can act."

  • 02/28 - Producers have chosen to keep secret when Charlie's next flashback will air, which probably has something to do with Desmond's premonition in the Feb. 14 episode that Charlie is destined to die. (Characters' deaths traditionally have occurred at the conclusion of their flashback shows.) "I have to be careful to not tell you too much," says [Dominic] Monaghan, hinting only that "the Charlie stories are going to be coming toward a bottleneck. The Hurley, Sayid, Claire and Locke stories are all pushing together into a Charlie journey." Source: USA Today

Took out the part you had already posted - but I find it odd that they are not going to say when his flashback is just yet. Are they just trying to fool us, or is he really going to die?

Honestly, I think Kristin was right (did I just say that?) when she said that she thinks the writers are trying to gauge viewer reactions and make a decision about whether to kill Charlie based on that reaction.

That could be it, they got high fives for offing Ana, but hate mail for offing Libby. They already know that giving Paolo and Nikki long torturous deaths will likely get them an Emmy Award, but killing Hobbits might get them in trouble with PETA. They could just be testing the waters.

Juliet What is that?
Richard Alpert That is orange juice...with a considerable amount of Dharma Calms Forte mixed in.

Interesting thought. I hope they don't kill Charlie. At least not in this season. I think he may still be important. Besides I don't think Claire is ready to deal with his death.

I doubt he will be killed off -- due to who his girlfriend is in real life

I read over at DarkUFO last night that Dom declined an interview regarding the season 3 finale that others, like Terry and Josh, participated in. I found that interesting in light of his much anticipated possible death.

Yes, that was in the TV Guide article. They mentioned it after talking about his possible death, and then said, "make of that what you will."

On the other hand, Terry, Josh, and Michael Emerson all participated in the article. They all sounded pretty up in their comments. I'm hoping that they are safe.

Terry is the type of actor though that would be excited for his character's death if he believed in the storyline behind it....

True, but his line sounded more like Locke would be around. It's in the general season 3 thread, but it was something like, "Locke keeps getting weirder and weirder, and I like it the crazier he gets."

Now maybe he gets so crazy that it results in his death, but I read it more as a "I can't wait to see where he goes from here" comment.
