Leslie Arzt was a 9th grade science teacher, who had been married three times. He's opinionated and believed he has a lot of knowledge the other survivors should listen to.

He warns the rafters that the winds are about to change, and they need to set sail as soon as possible if they want to go North. He also accompanies Jack, Hurley, Kate, Locke and Danielle to the Black Rock because he has knowledge of handling dynamite. Arzt is killed when a piece of dynamite he is holding explodes.

Aw shucks, Just great to see him again.

I wonder what else he had acquired from the island biology?

Arzt mentions 20 new species of insects found on the island - is this part of the Dharma zoological project maybe?

Didnt we all have at least one teacher that was like him?

I laughed so hard when they show him in line at Airport security and he is complaining because the guy in front of him did not have his Laptop out before it was to be examined by the screeners. Havent we all known someone that would make that remark at that time?

For some reason, I bet 9th grade science students all over the world cheered when he blew up. Not that the character did not have potential. Was his explosion Suspense or Comic Relief?
