Aldo is an Other, and first appeared in "Not in Portland" S3.



Aldo was the one sitting guard in front of the house where Karl was being kept. Kate later knocked him unconscious with his rifle.

According to Lostpedia Aldo was seen reading, and writing notes in, the book "A Brief History of Time". The book was written by Steven Hawking in 1988.

So this is who they named Algo after

On a serious note - he loosely resembles Karl.
