LOL GB, my hubby said the same thing. Actually he said (as we were rewatching the premiere) "I didn't notice her rack the first time we watched this." (He was too busy waiting to see if Kate's towel would drop, methinks...)

I was reviewing what we know about Juliette over at Lostpedia. (www.lostpedia.com) and a theory has been posited that she may be some relation to Penelope Widmore (and thus, presumably, a Widmore). Their features are similiar - and now that I think about it - looking at this from a casting perspective: why another blonde with such similiar features? It would be an interesting twist if she was related to Penelope. Her somewhat reluctant allegiance with Ben also would support the more human side of her. Presumably, she spent time in the real world, unlike Ben, which not only would make her more sympathetic to the Losties, but would also support a relation to Penelope. |

If she is a real doctor - fertility doctor - what on earth is her 'need' on this island?? Do you think that this has something to do with the obsession with children? |
| Rainflower Posts : 7296 |
I wonder about that too, Pen. A fertility doctor seems a bit out of place on what appears to be a deserted island? I guess it could be about their obsession with children, or something about aging and fertility, per the old uterus the recruiter showed her? Unanswered questions about Juliet per Lostpedia: Why did her marriage with Edmund Burke break down? What is her connection to Ben? What power does Ben have over Juliet to keep her prisoner (if that is indeed the case)? What is her status in the Others' hierarchy? What is the relevance of her discoveries in fertilization to the Others? How was she transported to the island? What happened to her that made her change from the meek, insecure person in the flashback to the tough woman who does not hesitate to kill if necessary? What does Juliet's mark mean? How did she get all that information about Jack? Why is she so consistently emotionless, even when someone is pointing a gun at her head? |

Okay she is marked right? So maybe the mark is WHY she was left behind?? I still think she is part of a plot against the Losties. I just do not understand the why of it or whether she has enlisted Jack to help somehow. |

Now that we know she was sexing it up with Goodwin -- I wouldn't rule her out for a possible pregnancy. |

But knowing what she knew about the dangers, I have a feeling they woulda been careful.

I think so too, ILE. And she was always hoping to get off the island, and back to see her sister. Having a baby with one of the others on the island might complicate her leaving even further I think? |
| Penelope Posts : 7234 |
Well I was very shocked she was having a sexual relationship with one of the very people keeping her on the island - given her desire to leave so much. Perhaps there is more to Goodwin as a character than we have been able to see. I truly hated him when we saw him in S2 interacting with the Tailies. Do you think they know he was killed by AL? |
| Rainflower Posts : 7296 |
When Ben was held capture didn`t he accuse AL of being a killer? I can`t remember the conversation, or if he actually accused her of killing Goodwin though. |

I don't remember it. I'll review transcrïpts later. |

I think he knew she did it, cuz I seem to recall him saying that Goodwin was trying to convince them that she was a good person or something.

Found it. Ben says, "Goodwin. Yes, he told us all about you Ana. How he thought you were worthy, that he could change you... but he was wrong. And it cost him his life. "

So they probably stumbled upon his body? Or did they learn about it when Cindy was captured?? I wonder what Juliet thinks of this??? |
| ILovedEko admin Posts : 16833 |
Forgot about Cindy, that's possible. I was also thinking they may have some sort of surveillance around. We did see it on the Hydra island, so it may be possible.

Someone at DarkUFO pointed out this thing I found a bit interesting about Juliet - while most of the Losties seems to have done bad things in their pre-island life, we have seen from her flashbacks that Juliet has gone the other way. Whatever bad things she has done, seems to have been after she arrived at the island. |

And she seemed to demonstrate a true desire to help Sun, not harm her. You could see she was saddened to tell Sun the bad news that she would die. Her character may be heading back towards doing more good -- after saying "I hate you" towards Ben when the transmission was turned off, it seemed pretty clear she is not happy with her role right now. |

I wouldn`t be surprised if she in the end decides to turn against Ben. |
