Yemi was a priest and Eko`s younger brother.

He first appeared in "The 23rd Psalm".



Yemi was the brother of Eko. When they were young, the Nigerian village of Yemi and Eko was invaded by drug runners, who commanded that Yemi shoot an old man. Eko saved him from doing this task and shot the man instead; the men with them when they left, leaving Yemi behind. Yemi later became a priest and worked to improve the lives of his parishioners.

One day Eko pays him a visit. Eko needs to transport heroin out of the country and wants to use the missionary planes of the church. Yemi initially refuses, but gives in when Eko warns him that his partners will burn down the church if Yemi does not cooperate. Yemi reluctantly signs papers to give Eko and his men the authority of priests. Yemi is shot by gunfire from the army as the plane with the heroin begins to take off.

His body and the plane is later found on the island.

Charlotte Malkin claims to have seen Yemi whilst she was 'between places', after the drowning incident.

Yemi appeared in Eko's dream, and told him he needed to find the ? with Locke. He later appears in Locke's dream to guide them to the top of the cliff, where they could see the question mark.

22 days later, Yemi appeared to Eko once more. He told him that it is time to confess.

Eko went back to the plane, only to discover that Yemi was gone. Feeling depressed and helpless, Eko saw Yemi again. Yemi, now with dirty clothes, told Eko once more that it's time to confess on his bad deeds. Eko followed him to an anemone field, and said that he feels no guilt for what he did, and that he would not confess. Yemi said "You speak to me as if I were your brother.", and left. Moments later, the "Monster" attacked Eko, and killed him.
