Reason for Travel: Return trip from seeing faith healer

Rose is Bernard's wife.  She met Bernard after her car stalled in the snow once, and soon fell in love, with Bernard proposing to her 5 months after they met.  He learned at that time that Rose was suffering from a terminal illness, and took her to see Isaac, a famous faith-healer in Australia, for which he pays a $10,000 donation.  Initially reluctant, Rose agreed, to appease her husband.  Isaac told Rose that he couldn't heal her, because she needed to find another magnetic source of energy that would.  She lied to Bernard and told him that Isaac healed her.

During their return trip on Flight 815, Bernard went to the bathroom in the rear of the plane. It was during that time that the plane broke up and crashed onto the island.

Jack has to revive Rose with CPR the day of the crash; she survives and lives with the middle section survivors. She wears Bernard's ring on a necklace, because his hands swell when he flies, and has faith that he survived in the tail section of the plane.

The first night, she recognizes the sound the sound the Monster makes, but may not be able to place it.

Rose is a person of faith, and is able to comfort Charlie as he works through his own redemptive process.  She also helps convince Hurley not to blow up the food storage room.

She is reunited with Bernard after the middle section group meets the tail section group.  Bernard tries to build an S.O.S. sign, but Rose is opposed to the idea, because she believes the island has healed her illness.  She finally reveals this to Bernard, and he then decides that he does not want to leave either, if this is the case.

Just a little curious if anyone has heard whether we will see more of Rose this season and Bernard? I saw the actress on an episode of Ghost Whisperer earlier this fall so I know that she is physically better from her illness.

I had read something from Damon or Carlton, can't remember which, saying that had they included Rose and/or Bernard in the first little bit of the season, people would have complained, saying they wanted to see the "important" characters. Also said that they do other work when they aren't in episodes of Lost, so the episodes they are in also have to work around that. I think we are supposed to see them again, I'm just not sure when.

Well, I'd rather see Bernard pulling on her pants then Paulo pulling on Nikki's but hey, like they listen to me....

Aw, it'd be so cute to see Bernard pull Rose by the back of her pants.

If the others were interested in Locke because his legs healed, wouldn`t Ben be even more interested in Rose if/when he finds out her cancer healed?

This could be a storyline choice to keep her on the backburner. Because I suspect they know everything about her too. But the actress had some other commitments, then took ill in real life and just recently was able to return. So maybe, if she is still around for next season, this will be explored.
