Jack is of Old English origin. Name based on John (Hebrew) "the Lord is gracious", or Jacques, the French form of Jacob (Hebrew) "he who supplants".  


ETA: meaing of supplant (i didn't know lol):  to take the place of and serve as a substitute for especially by reason of superior excellence or power

I wonder if Jack doesn`t have a new, crazy plan (that probably won`t work) all figured out in his mind?
And how much he knows about Juliet & Ben`s plans?

Ack... i bet jack wants to be a hero again, but ends up with some horrible plan that will leave a bunch of them dead, and the rest in cages on the Hydra island again (like his last plan...)

You know what is bugging me right now about Jack in the finale on island: he kissed Juliet, yet also tells Kate he loves him. Very odd to have those two events in the same episode, within what, 5 minutes of each other?

I missed the Jack/Juliet kiss, which I am very happy about as a Jater.

I was wondering that too Pen, but at the same time, it did seem more like Juliet was kissing him than the other way around. Although he did look happy afterwords...

Maybe his "I love you" to Kate wasn`t meant as the passionate falling in love -kind of I love you?
