Mikhail's alive...WHAT? I am wondering if what Jeannie (I think that's who said it) was right and he wasn't dead, just almost dead. With the island's healing powers, he was probably up and walking around before Kate and Juliet were "left behind". I did notice he had the dried blood still on his ears, so that means he hasn't been in any hatch or anywhere to clean up (or he's just gross). I think he heard the helicopter (if that's what it was) and saw the beacon, so he headed towards where he thinks it landed. Then he saw Hurley's oops with the flare gun and probably assumed it was whoever landed there. He seemed really surprised to see the Losties.  
I am glad Jin realized Mikhail had the phone. That could have sucked hard if he took it away.
I was wondering about terminating Sun's pregnancy, too. If she and the baby are gonna die anyway, best if it was just the one. Sounds harsh, but that seems to be the reality of the situation. I do understand her going with Juliet, though. She NEEDS to know who's baby it is, she is gonna die anyway if it's Jin's, and she would want to die if it wasn't his, so anyway you look at it, she's dead, so may as well go with Juliet.
Juliet saying "i hate you" at the end was pretty cool. It showed that she wasn't as willing to spy on the Losties as we thought she was. She seemed so compliant with Ben when they were discussing their plan before, but now we know she is against it.  And what samples is she getting? Maybe just proof of pregnancies? They may assume that since Kate and Sawyer hooked up in the bear cage that she is already pregnant because of the high sperm count thingy. But what about the other chicks on the island??

In previous episodes it was always inferred that Sun had no idea just exactly what Jin's job with her father was. Especially since she was so shocked by the blood on his hands. Now we know that not only did she know that he was an "enforcer" but that she knows of her fathers business dealings and that she caused Jin to be promoted to that position by her acceptance of the money from Daddy Dearest.  This episode shows she's not so innocent and Jin has never really been in control of his position in the firm or in his life.

I`m in the set up a fake crash site and pretend everyone is dead camp too. Like Gb pointed out there are a lot of wealthy and powerful people we`ve already seen who could have done that. And the mysterious Jacob seems quite powerful as well. So if "someone" didn`t want to have the island discovered by search and rescue, what would make more sense than set up a fake crash site, have them believe everyone die and make sure they would stop searching?

Like some of you said, I also wondered why no one brought up terminating the pregnancy (or did that with any of the other 9 dead women). If both mother and child will die anyway?

I wonder if Mikhail had been re-united with the Others, and was sent to the crash-site by Ben? If they heard the helicopter crash, he might have sent people to the crash site like he did with the plane.

So the island heals, and gives the men super-sperm, but kills the women when they`re pregnant?

And the sonic fence didn`t kill Mikhail - maybe it wasn`t designed to kill people at all, but only to keep smokey away?

I also buy into the rich daddy theory that this is a "fake crash" naomi is chattering about.

I have some other ideas too -- I think we saw a huge character shift in this episode with Desmond. Please refer to my thread in GD on this though as it tanters off episode.

As for Juliet -- I'm on the fence with her -- its a love/hate thing with her. I started to love her, and hubby is here yelling "bitch" at the tv when she is talking to Sun. Yet -- her "I hate you" to Ben either is in reference to her imprisonment and separation from Rachel (and also Goodwin's death since he sent her lover to the tail section) or is due to her being forced to play "spy" on the Losties....not sure where I stand on her.

I'm leaning towards fake crash site.  It seems most plausable.  Speeking of pregnancies. I just thought of something.  If Ben was born on the island, then what happened that no other women can have children since.  Unless Ben's mommy was prego before coming to the Island.

Intersting to see how strong Sun really is.  Not that impressed with epi until the end.  The end pretty much kicked it off for the remaining 4 epis.  "Jack The Redshirt" is definitely up to something.  By the way he stole my shirt.  How he got it out of my closet and onto the island I will never know.  Anyway the scene with Sun, he definitely seemed to be fishing for something.

Nice flipflop they have going with Juliette.  I still don't trust her though.  It seems to me that she is out for herself and be damned whoever she has to run over or kill along the way.
