Why is Juliet banished? I don't get that - is it because she shot Pickett?

Yes, if Jack hadn't intervened she would of gotten the death sentence. But she got branded and it appears banished. They don't forgive very easily.

Did anyone else catch the game on the table in the opening scene -- it was "Mouse Trap" and that game was shown in a Locke flashback in S1 when he worked at the Toys R' Us. He mentioned in that episode that he played the game with his brother as a kid.

Yes, I wondered if that was his biological brother, or a brother in a foster home?
And whether or not this brother will appear on the island...
