I liked this episode.  I continue to HATE Juliet, but I am liking the tension between her, Jack and Kate.  Can't wait until Sawyer is thrown back into the mix.

Can;t even say anything about the Others vacating the village and everything associated with that.  I need to mull it over for a day or so.

i still dont get why Smokey couldnt just go over the security system like Jack, Kate, Sayid and Locke did.  It certainly didnt kill it.  Nor did the explosives from the other season.

So Juliet doesnt appear to know anyhting more about it than our Losties... Interesting.

This episode made me like Sawyers character even more.

Nothing revealing about this episode tho.

Damn that Locke for not communicatingwith Kate as to what was going on.

i give it a 5 out of 10.

I believe that she doesn't know anything more about the monster.  But that is the only thing I believe.  I don't trust one thing out of her mouth.

Like the part where she handcuffed herself to Kate.  Ben leaves her behind, dumps her in the jungle, with an extra pair of handcuffs in her pocket?  I smell a setup.

I theorized previously that Cerberus can only go so high off the ground. I know some didn't like the theory but I think it just proved to be true. The Sonic Hedge seems to disrupt Cerberus' intergrity so it can't pass. Now the question:

If Dharma made the Sonic Hedge, as indicated by the Dharma electrical map, does that mean they didn't make Cerberus? Or did they create Cerberus, which went out of control and had to make the Sonic Hedge to protect themselves from it? Is Cerberus the "Incident"? We need a thread about this in T&S.

A good episode other than Smokey and the fence. Smokey took Eko pretty high when he killed him. I don't buy that Smokey could not zip over the fence.

Juliet does seem like another Fenry mind game. I trust Sayid's instincts.

Locke is playing them.

My 2 cents.

Smokey did take Eko high when he was attacking him, and even higher when he took the pilot, but smokey did have a portion of him firmly on the ground when he was bouncing Eko around.

I kinda liked this episode. I think that Juliette is setting them up as well. Also, I don't understand her reflexes. When Jack grabbed her in his cell she was caught off guard. When Kate tried to hit her by hiding, Juliette flipped her over. How come she was prepared for Kate but not for Jack?

I like how Juliette comming back with the losties will create some tension in the camp and hopefully get us some answers. I am, however not looking forward to the tension between Jack, Kate, Sawyer and Juliette.

I wonder exactly where Locke went when he left witrh them. And what happened with his father?!

For now, one observation, sweaty Kate and Juliet handcuffed together and wrestling, how hawt is that? I was so hoping they would start making out.

LOL - I told my son and husband to stop drooling when those scenes were on.

I liked the episode. Sayid is rapidly becoming one of my favorites (not that I didn't like him before) for wanting answers. It's about time someone does.

I don't trust Juliette either. And I don't quite get why/how she and Kate ended up in the jungle while Sayid and Jack were left at the village. And just where did Rousseau go?

Loved Sawyer redeeming himself. And the line about "not getting the Korean vote" was priceless.

I'm still not clear if Juliet cuffed herself to Kate so she wouldn't get "left behind" or did someone else cuff them together? If she cuffed them together, why end up in the jungle? If someone else cuffed them together, then like someone said, why put them in the jungle and leave Jack and Sayid in the compound, not cuffed together? Too may questions for just one scene

Great points Jeannie and GB. hmm.

I'm in the camp of "Smokey could hop over the fence". I think it was to strengthen Jules char. TPTB didn't *have* to make that scene. They could've had Jules pull out the key once back in Otherville and have her say the same line, "I didn't wanna get left behind".

I think it was to drive home the point that Jules really has never seen Smokey before. Also, that she saves Kate (she could've let Kate suffer on the other side of fence). Also,  her messing with the fence didn't seem too "Otherly" to me. If it was Mikhail or Clugh, they'd probably wouldn't mess with the fence, smile and close their eyes or some shit and let Smokey play with them, like a hungry pit bull plays with a preschooler.

The Others have completely abandoned their village. Took everything useful, and no need for fence anymore. All because the Losties found their Honeycomb Hideout? Are they THAT scared of them? They never seem to act like it.

I really liked the "You don't know Jack" scene. Once again, an Other spews out details of a Lostie's life. But they don't "know" anyone! The parts don't define the whole. Kate picks up on this, smiles, and ends the conversation.

I thought the Sun looks were great, LOL. Her glares to Sawyer at the beach and later in camp were priceless --so funny and she didn't even say a word. LOL

Sawyer: An accomplished con-man and he doesn't know how to fake sincerity? I think this is a marked change in his character by the TPTB. Old Sawyer definitely wouldn't need Hurley's help to shmooze Claire or anyone else.

One thing I noticed. The Others are wearing regular clothes when they make their escape, not their island-roaming, dirty and tattered "uniforms".

I really liked the fact that Hurley "played" Sawyer. I thought that was too cool.

I liked the part about Sawyer re-deeming himself too, like Borky mentioned, the old Sawyer would have known how to fake nice.

I loved the Smokey scene, even if I do agree that smokey would be able to go higher than the fence. But how far up does the eh- sonic interferrence go? Does it stop where the fence stops - or does it continue upwards so it was no point for smokey to go over.
It looked like the fence seriously disturbed his eh-nano cloud capabilities, as he started to go out of shape a bit. So maybe he really doesn`t like it?

I agree GB. The hand cuffing part doesn`t make sense to me either, and makes me think of another mind-game by Ben. Juliet has the keys, and woke up very fast when Kate took the knife. So it would appear she was in on the whole carrying out to the jungle and leaving them there part - why else would she have the keys? If she was just worried about being left behind, shouldn`t she just cry a bit to Jack instead? That seems like a safer bet than trying to win Kate over in the jungle.

Where did the Others go? and like Borky pointed out, the Others are sure fast at leaving EVERYTHING behind (first at the Hydra, now at the village) just because the Losties finds them....

I thought this was a pretty good eppy, I love the Sawyer part's and he just how he is slowly learning to adjust to a world where "money" doesn't rule , lol! Sun was awesome last night too.

I totally think Juliette is playing them, I was so happy that Sayid was like she is not coming with us ! It will be quite intersting when they get to camp.

It seemed to me that John was not himself, not like brainwashing though, almost like it wasn't really him???

When did Locke get his hand fucked up and the black eye, btw? On his way to when they locked him up last week, or was there something going on between that point and when we saw him talk to Kate?

One more thing about the Kate and Juliet stuck in the jungle together - Juliet knew the fence was turned off now. But when they arrived Mikhail`s reaction certainly seemed to indicate it was on then...
Did Juliet know the fence would be turned off by the Others as they left? Had Ben told her they would turn it off, he`d send Smokey after them and she could turn it on as a way to win Kate`s trust?
I don`t remember if those switch boxes where on the fence we saw when they climbed over it? Or did they just happen to find the one which had one...

And I hope the Losties will now move into the houses in Othersville But why did the Others put on gas masks outside - all of the ones Kate saw through the window put one on. The gas canisters seemed to be only inside the buildings with the captives - and it even took a while after they threw them in before they started working.

Seems it was true when Cassidy told Sawyer Clementine was his baby too...

That is a good question ILE. I don`t remember if he had that when we saw him last week.
I wonder if he has really converted to the others now...

concerning the fence. I think jules knew cuz there was no *hum*. when she turns on the fence, we hear it. What i am unsure of is if the humming was present the first time we saw it w/ mikhail.

I agree that the whole Juliet situation reeks of Ben.  She obviously knew the fence was off, so barring any way of actually telling that without entering it, she had prior information.  Obviously, the losties aren't going to welcome her with open arms, so there must be something pretty damn important (like Aaron) among the losties that she is supposed to get.

And I have theory about the fence and smokey, but I have to look for caps, so I'll post it later.

When Cassidy first talked about Sawyer, I yelled "She is so not pregnant", only to have her admit it later, LOL
