Hey Gang Great Epi.  So much to discuss.  Lotta good theories going on here.  I'm with VM on the whole time loop thing, but not really sure exactly how it works.  I have a general theory about the flashbacks that I've been thinking about.  I'm gonna post it over in theories.

While it has merit, I'm not real comfortable with the time loop thing. I can get on board with a slight ripple in time a full blown time circle has too many variables and ties too strongly to fate as opposed to free will. It is an interesting theory.

They may be Jack & Kate. I believe the black and white rocks Jack took from the body and kept were an important clue that may seem insignificant now, but will make us go - "oh yeah!" later.

I was thinking again about how we saw the camera in the chesscomputer room. I know that it was to prove to the viewers this was how we saw Patchy in the Pearl viewing station.

But then I was thinking about little Ben, and how he has a bunch of cameras. Cameras seem to be everywhere on this island.

If he could see Locke's keystrokes, is it possible that when he hit "77" Ben blew the Flame? Is it possible that he had rigged the place with C4? Miss Klugh could have been placing the final touches on the rig, was sent by Ben. Her and Mikhail may have been intending to blow it anyway, but got interrupted by Sayid and crew. Then Locke just happened to provide them with a nice disguise to the blow up when he tried to call for help.

Plausible??

I dunno that answer. Unless he was trying to sever the communication capabilities for the Losties, figuring they'd eventually stumble upon the Flame hatch?

but we`ve heard Tom say that their communications have been down since the sky turned purple. Even if they had a different way besides the Flame to contact the outside world, wouldn`t they try to salvage as much of the equipment from that hatch in order to try and get their communications up and running again?

The biggest problem with that theory is you could tell the communication lines were originally set up with the C4. Also Dr. Candle was ominous when he said "enter 7 7", like it was apparent what was going to happen. But I don't think they expected Locke to figure out and activate the self-destruct mechanism, I think the Hostiles still needed the sonar beacon for the sub.

Remember Occam's Razor, folks.  The simplest answer is usually the correct one.  To me, Benry blowing the hatch is too complicated, I gott go with the "7 7" command blowing the C-4.  

Let me throw another theory out there.  At any time, anyone from either Dharma, the Hostiles or the Others could be lying about anything.  I like some of the ideas in the preceding page or two but I personally need more info before I can get behind any of them.

I cannot see this mentioned anywhere but:-

Could Locke and Mikhail have been playing their computer war games together and that is how Mikhail knew that Locke was a cripple?

Or could they have been in the same hospital with their injuries?

Mikhail knew about John because it was his job to get the background files on everyone of them...he knew john was crippled just because he read the report when it was sent in.

Rewatched last nite. Another good one. Sayid is so damn cool when TPTB let him.

More and more it seems to me that the simplest explanation is the most likely. I think Dharma were the ones who wired the station w/ explosives, and Mikhail tryed to sway Johnboy from accessing the menu.

Mikhail smiles, I think in shrugging it off thinking John probably wasn't smart enuff to win anyway, which of course Mikhail ended up being wrong.
