Am I crazy, or did I read though that it's still relatively high in ranking of getting that key 18-whatever demographic?

Nope, Idol is an even bigger hit in that category:

Quote :

Fast National ratings for Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007

The revelation of the top 24 singers on "American Idol" powered FOX to another ratings victory on Wednesday.

FOX averaged an 11.8 rating/18 share in primetime, scoring a good-sized win over CBS, 8.0/13. NBC finished third at 5.6/9. ABC was fourth at 4.9/8, while The CW trailed at 2.1/3.

In the adults 18-49 demographic, FOX's lead was even wider. It scored an 8.1 rating in the demo, more than double that of second-place CBS, 3.5. ABC took third at 3.3, followed by NBC, 2.7, and The CW, 1.5.

"Bones," 7.5/12, put FOX on top at 8 p.m. The clip show "Return to Jericho" earned a 5.0/8 for CBS. NBC's "Friday Night Lights" scored a better-than-average 4.8/8, topping "George Lopez" and "The Knights of Prosperity" on ABC. The finale of "Beauty and the Geek" drew a 2.6/4.

At 9 p.m., "American Idol" pared its field to 24 semifinalists, scoring a 16.1/24 in the process. CBS got a 9.6/14 from "Criminal Minds." NBC stayed in third with "Deal or No Deal," 6.3/9, while a repeat of "Lost" posted a 3.2/5 for ABC. The CW went with "One Tree Hill."

CBS took the lead at 10 p.m. with "CSI: NY," 9.4/15. With no lead-in to speak of, "Lost" managed only a 7.6/12, its lowest rating ever for a new episode. NBC's "Medium" came in at 5.7/9.

ETA ILE, what you may have read is that ABC in general scores very well among adults 18-49 living in households earning $100,000 or more, largely due to Boston Legal and Brothers & Sisters. http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117959899.html?categoryid=1043&cs=1

I wondered about the location for Jules' mark...but then Ben now has a scar with all sorts of infections that will also leave a mark. And isn't his scar about the same location as Jules' mark?
Just something to think about.

Richard Alpert That is orange juice...with a considerable amount of Dharma Calms Forte mixed in.

seems like everytime Jack, Sawyer, or Kate asked a question about Ben's group to the some of the others, the answer is "it's complicated", or "you wouldn't understand", like in Cindy's case "it's not that simple". When she said that, I so wanted Jack to reach thru the bars and grab her by the throat and scream, "TRY ME, TALK, I'LL DECIDE IF I UNDERSTAND OR NOT"

For a while now I have been suspicious about Jack.

He was the first person we saw when the Pilot aired, and he was nowhere near the crash.

I have not completely formed my theory about who or what he is, but this show made a little light go off in my twisted brain.

"He walks among us, but he is not one of us"

Think about that.

That is all I am going to say until I figure this out.

Uh yes! Let's return to the suspicions of Jack I had before I even knew any of you!! I'm with you Vincent!!

I really like this episode - although I see many did not.

The time slot is killing this show. 2 people I work with that do not have a DVR do not watch it anymore because of the time change. They are going to catch up when it comes out on DVD. Me for example, due to my schedule, misses watching it until the weekend. I just watched it now - Saturday at 5pm. So I miss out on what I used to love about the show - the speculating after the epi, etc. Its hurting the show. Definitely.

As for Jack -- I still think this ties back to his dad somehow, but I need to develop a theory. Give me time.

I was reading the answers by Gregg Nations over at the fuselage - and it seems like the promotion with how we would get three important questions answered in this episode was the work of the promo department - and not TPTB:

Yeah, I like him too
I notice most of his answers doesn`t really give away much LOL, but it`s great there is someone who is able to clear things up - like when something is fake.

ooooh I like this.

Maybe a lil symbolism here? Dharma and it's/her members aren't too tolerant of outsiders messing with their local gig? hmmm.

I saw this one again last nite, and really, it isn't as bad as its (now) legend of being one of the worst eppy's ever. I think it just had the misfortune of following two really great episodes.

Is Isabel the same actor as the daughter in Mommie Dearest? Looked like her.

It was hard for me to follow, back then, when Jules did all the (seemingly) flip-flopping between the others and the losties. Rewatching this thread of the show is helping me understand it a bit better now.
