I don't know about "predict", he seemed to me like he had already experienced it, as in "been there" for Locke's speech

Interesting point GB and I kind of agree... the way he said it held a different sort of implication.  It will be interesting to see how Des's new "skill" plays out.

I also really want to know what took Locke from being a passive sort to becoming the hunter that we saw on the island in S1.  I know he had sort of a regression back to his old behavior in S2, but there had to have been *something* big happen to get him from the man who claimed to be a hunter but was really more of a "farmer".  It seems as though he was always looking for approval in his old self, and something happened to make him not care any more.

Ditto gb. As if he'd somehow already heard Locke give the speech.

Yeah Lisa, there are lots of unasnwered questions about why Locke is the way he is, and I'm uber curious to find out. I mean, he hunted with his father for a bit, but did he ever hunt before that??

Tustin, CA was where the box company was... I'm not remembering where he lived when he was with Helen but there should be a clue on his home inspection truck if I recall correctly.

And the only bad thing about the license IMHO is that he's bald in the picture!  He wasn't bald that we know of before he was paralyzed, was he??

Ooh, I didn't even notice the bald thing. He has hair while holding it, he should have hair in it, lol.

Some sort of fabric (maybe a bag??) with the Pearl logo on it... did someone escape or something and ended up in that cave? Maybe a bear um.. helped them into that cave? LOL.

OK, just remembered another interesting thing.

The dump truck in the polar bear's lair, and the skeleton in/with the Dharma cloth (was that a bag? tshirt? anyway)... Polar bear subjects were apparently released from their cages at some point, when the Hydra was abandoned.  Was the skeleton with the dump truck part of a team sent out to see how the bears were doing, perhaps bringing them one of their favorite toys to try to keep them peaceful? Only to have it go terribly wrong of course.

And that's a good thought. I can't really see why else they'd have a toy truck like that. At least, not with the bears... I doubt these bears are theives and stole a toy from a kid, lol.

Every week we seem to have timeline questions with regard to the flashbacks.  I'm going to attempt (in my free time, LOL) to piece together a flashback timeline.  I may need the assistance of some more techno-types to put it up on the web in some form or another.  

Speaking of timelines--in S2 the dates on Jin's resume were "wrong" according to TPTB.  Did anybody check if they were corrected on the DVD's?  

ETA: For the record, the resume on the DVD is the same as on the original airing

I took the Dharma logo as being on a shirt worn by a hapless Pearl stationed victim.

The truck, IMO, was to suggest that a child had been taken/eaten by a bear.

WTF?! @ Charlie's mouth? Did he get slugged on the set prior to taping or what? My wife said maybe he gained some weight but I don't see it. I didn't think it was possible for him to look any goofier, guess I was wrong.

I think Des got sucked into some time/spatial distortion for a bit when the hatch imploded, thus the prediction. The tie-dye shirt may have even been a clue, one big colorful outward spiral.

I loved the episode, but we didn't like the preview for next week. The torture of Kate/Jack/Sawyer is getting tiresome for us.

BTW, that cop's employee number had three of the "numbers" in it, 84023.

Something I see no one is talking about is :

1- The hatch imploded and that's the contrary of exploded so it would mean that our losties should be trapped inside of what was left of the hatch and not projected , everyone somewhere .

2- Desmond is found naked , why ? if it was an explosion and he was burned we should see it in his skin and we don't see anything like that on him , just a little blood . Clothes don't automagically burn !!

So and this is just a theory , I think the hatch survivors were put where they woke ( Vincent's Time-Space discontinuum ) , that memories were implemented in them and that's why locke knows where eko is and why desmond knows what locke will say . I also think that because of the unpredictable meeting with hurley and speech discussion , desmond kinda knows now what's happening here .
