Yes - so based on my earlier - why wouldn't you leave scenario - if it is because they can't then what Jack is asked to do may mean that afterwards - they CAN.

Not sure what was up with it, though. Other than to let us know Carl is in fact an Other I guess.

Yeah, I was thinking the same. I was talking to my brother about it a few nights ago and was suggesting that Carl may be like Alex... a child not born into Dharma, but taken and brought into it like she was.

Well, I just saw the episode last night. You all have pretty much summed up my thoughts and musings.
I agree with those who think Jae committed suicide. I took the pearl necklace as a sign that IS what he had done.

But I am with Supermodel that I am very very confused as to the time line with Jae / Sun /Jin. I was shocked when we saw him in this episode with Sun, and trying to convince her to join him in America.

I dont think Sun killed that chick on the boat.  They'll take her back to Jack for saving.

I doubt they will take her to Jack...wouldn't they have their own doctors??

I think Jack's task will be much more insideous than just a surgery to save the blonde chick. I think it may have something to do with surgery on a child or two, perhaps the tailie kids. If he wants to go back home, he'll have to sell his soul to the devil...just like Michael did.

Yeah, I think so too. Whatever Jack will have to do, I think it will be something that will be a difficult choice for him to make.
But I guess if Colleen did surviwe they might bring her to Jack anyway - not as part of the deal Benry mentioned, but as an side-deal. Maybe Ethan was the one with the medical ability - besides also fixing plumbing lol. In "Maternity Leave" he seems to be the one taking care of the medical stuff, such as administering the injections into Claire`s abdomen - and I think he was in the shot from the room where they were going to cut out the baby too?
Maybe when he died, the others lost their "doctor"?

It looks like Alex is still being her old rebellious self... I too thought the conversation between her and Kate about Carl might mean she and Carl is together in their rebellion. When Zeke/Tom forced him to apologize to Sawyer, it reminded me of
a parent forcing a misbehaving child to apologize for their wrong-doings. But there was something odd about that conversation, like the comment about it being her dress? And whenever the dress is mentioned, it seems like everyone gets a bit "strange".

It almost looks like they could be trying to bring Sawyer and Kate closer together - since they`re putting them in cages next to eachother and having them work side by side in the chain gang. Plus Benry bringing up Kate asking about Sawyer first, before Jack. But it might just be wishful thinking on my part

I thought Kate still seemed to appear more quiet and reserved than usual, like she lost her fighting-spirit. Unless of course she is not as fond of getting shocked as Sawyer

Was Jae breaking into that room with his credit card?

Or was that the key to the hotel room door.

Most motels have switched to electronic keys now.  They are programmable, so if someone takes off with the electronic key, they can't come back a few days later and break into the room because the lock is reprogrammed after every guest leaves.
