Meadowlands is my favorite summer show this year, and I'm hoping someone else is watching as well.  The show is a collaboration between Channel 4 in the UK (where it airs titled Cape Wrath) and Showtime in the US.  It airs on Showtime first-run on Sunday nights at 10PM and various times over the course of the week.

The premise is this: a family is placed in a lovely-looking suburb outside Kent as part of the witness protection program.  They soon find out that they are strongly discouraged from leaving Meadowlands, and that all their neighbors have been similarly placed.  Danny Brogan, the main character is opening a new neighborhood bar, while his wife Evelyn is taking some time off from working, and attracts the attention of the local doctor.  Twin teenagers Zoe and Mark are interesting as well:  Zoe likes to challenge authority and dabbles with psychology, Mark is a high-functioning autistic who hasn't spoken in months and loves to dress in frocks.

If you like dark, brooding, sometimes violent dramas, you'll love this show.  All of the episodes that have aired so far are on TV Links for those who lack Showtime access.

Hmm, I've heard about this I think - name is familiar - and I'm curious if one of our channels have picked it up here, cuz it sounds interesting. I'll have to look into it.

Guess what I saw was on last night? Unfortunately, I didn't notice until there was only 15 or so minutes left, but at least I know I can catch it on tv here now!

Yay!  I'm really looking forward to tonights epi.  Unfortunately, it's only an 8-episode season so there are only 3 left

I watched the first episode and it looked like a pretty good show! I will try to watch the rest soon too.
