Not sure if this is going to be an ARG or if it's just viral marketing ... while browsing lostpedia lately there was a kind of bizarre ad on the bottom of the page stating "We are not a cult" , didn't click on it first guessing it was something about scientology or something ... then after seeing the thing a few times I finally did and it sent me here :

http://www.quantafact.com/Site/Proof.html?gclid=CI6DiJWpj48CFQ5DMAodrWxWVw

this is clearly about the movie http://www.believersmovie.com/ so it might be just that but since some themes are close to those on Lost - magnetism, left behind theme , shady organization a la dharma , mathematical formula , end of days and even the Dr Hans is somewhat like Alvar Hanso - I'm going to dig further in it .

From what I looked at fast , other than the countdown at the believers website there is a link to some Hans book :

http://www.amazon.com/Talbot-Theorem-Field-Study-Analysis/dp/B000SZRRHG/ref=sr_1_2/002-1249882-8525602?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1191280984&sr=8-2

Product Descrïption
Field investigation into outcomes and event prediction using Talbot's corrrected formula of 1979. Application of the formula in daily life, with accurate outcome prediction of minor chaos events such as prediction of location of lost items, unexpected guests, and minor injuries. Accurate time and location shows an error rate of +/- 5%, and notes on improving accuracy are included. Talbot's formula is also applied to the prediction of cosmological movements, magnetic fluctuations, and tidal anamolies. Final chapter includes a detailed probabilities table on future catastrophic events and predicted mortality tables. Dr. Hans Talbot is best remembered as a member of the infamous "Moheny Five."

Isn't this somehow familiar ? ... given the fact the book supposedly costs $2,100.00 I doubt it's a real (marketing) book .

There is also a post in the beievers movie forum from STOPTHELIES :

We have sent you several messages to your information email and recieved no replies.  Please give us a way to contact you.

It is time to stop lying about our organization.  This movie is defaming us and our good name.  Our society is not a cult.   We demand an APOLOGY.

I don't know , I think I'll be waiitng till the countdown finishes and see what comes out of it .
