I just posted about this in Bork, and there seems to be some interest... so I thought I'd post here to see if I can get a team together.

I have never played fantasy football before, so hopefully I can figure out the rules if we have enough interested players to form a Bork league... let me know if you're interested!

(BTW... it looks like a "game" is eight weeks long... it may be better to play after Lost's 13 week break!  Or we could do a test run without Lost... then play again when Lost is on.  Let me know what you think.)

Hey guys, sorry to post this then bail, RL has been keeping me so busy lately!!  But are we still interested in trying this??  I think we'd have to either not draft Lost folks (since the "season" is eight weeks and we only get six weeks of episodes) or we'd have to start later.  What do you think?? We could play now without Lost draftees just as a warmup... see if we like it...

Ok ladies, apparently I can't set up the league without having your email addresses to put in up front, so could you please PM me with an email address?  Feel free to open a junk account if you don't want stuff going to your primary account -- I will post any announcements that would go out in an email here as well.

I'm planning on starting the league on October 22, with the draft to close October 20.  October 8 is too soon IMHO, and I'll be away the weekend of the 12th-15th, which means I wouldn't be able to close the draft that Friday.  So our six-week regular season will run October 22 - November 24, with two weeks of "sweeps" following.  Neat thing is that we'll overlap with actual November sweeps so there should be some interesting stuff going on on each of the shows - may make for higher points!

One last note, since we're starting late it may not be a good idea to draft Lost characters/quirks at all...unless you want to make a lot of mid-season lineup changes.  I won't exclude it from the draft, but something to keep in mind.  Of course, I've never played fantasy sports at all so maybe that's part of the fun -- get them in while they're "hot" then drop them for someone else later on.  I'm sure I'll learn a lot!  

Oooh, this is going to be fun.  And it should keep us busy during the three-month hiatus.

Indeed!  Though not the entire time, but maybe by then we'll like it enough to start it back up after the holidays...

Double posting with some instructions.

Once you create a fantasyteevee account with the email you gave me, you will (I believe) be automatically entered into the Borkovision league.  Click the yellow button in the upper left section that says "view myFTV".  This will take you to a screen that allows you to select your draft card.

Once you choose to "edit draft card" you get the following instructions:

Edit Draft Card Use this page to edit your draft preferences. Your preferences are used during draft closure as well as auto-picks for private-league online drafting. Note that public leagues automatically close drafts on Thursday evening of each week, so be sure to update your draft card before. To choose your draft preferences, select a character below and click the up-arrow button. Once the draft closes, your preferred players are drafted first (based on availability). After all preferred players have been drafted (or, if you don't set a draft card at all), the system will automatically assign characters based on avg pts and night/role each team is most lacking. In creating your draft preferences, keep in mind the following: The objective is to win the MOST nights - so spread out your characters. You are only allowed to play 3 Leads, 4 Supporting, and 2 Quirks each week. There will be 12 on your roster, 9 starters and 3 bench each week.

I have the option to do the draft live, automatically (based on your draft card to choose picks, not sure how this works) or manually.  Live may be the fairest way to work this, but I'm not sure we can all be online at the same time.  Thoughts?

I joined! And I see Fozzie has too!! Ah, at least I have some time to figure out the rules and how this here thing works!

ETA: I vote for a live draft. We all seem to be around at night, usually are around on weekends: if we could all schedule the time, maybe something could work?

I`m still having a bit of trouble figuring out the rules, but I guess I`ll figure out it eventually  

If we`re going to do a live draft I guess the weekend would be best for me.
