I never noticed that Jack was a prick even in the beginning.  I though he became more annoying as the show went on.  But no, he was clearly a JackAss from the start.

Kate also is annoying.  Ten epis in and I hate them both.  Not sure if that is a natural feeling or if I am influenced by what I know is coming later.  About fifty more hikes into the jungle with Kate saying "I'm coming with you."

Christian Shepherd was hot for an old guy.

I had forgotten that Charlie had basically died and been resuscitated.  Wow, he truly was fated to die on this island, even before Desmond came along.  Of course Jack worked so hard to save him because he is so dedicated of whatever, but the joke is on him.  Jack didn't save him, the island did!  My friend who is watching with me caught on right away, she said "hey, does this island have recuperative properties?  First the paralyzed dude walks and now this."  

I love rewatching with newbies and re-experiencing all the twists and turns through them.  I recommend that you all go out and recruit a n00b!

And I almost laughed out loud when Claire's boyfriend referred to her "Daddy issues."  Is there a character on this show who doesn't have daddy/mommyissues?
