I`m not really sure what I think though LOL. I won`t be too upset if he dies

Truthfully, I don't think he will be killed off, and if he ever is, it'll be in the final few episodes of the show.

Why - because there is a certain core of charactes I anticipate will be there at the "end."  

That would be Sawyer, Kate, Jack, Locke, Charlie, Sayid, & Hurley.

I think they're gonna toss that hobbit into the volcano.  He's toast.

I hope Charlie lives - he's not my favorite, but he has grown on me as island time has passed. Truthfully though, I think he's going to die. If he does die, I hope it's doing something heroic.
