ya i can't see it being someone like "jin and sun" it wouldn't have such an impact, i just hate the idea of it being one of our losties...

I'm not huge on the time loop theory either, A2L. They may be able to win me over if it's the case, but yeah.

With the plane in Charlie's vision (Fire & Water) I am still rooting that it will be Amelia Earhart and Fred Noonan.

Signs point to this not being Jack and Kate after the finale.

Not Charlie, so likely not Claire.

I still feel as if they have a significance.

well Pen my theory after the finale was : Jack do convince Kate to go back to the island after he finds it .. they go there do some heroic work and then die in each other arms .. soooo

I am anxious for the rewatch of that episode where they are discovered because I still find them significant. I wish we'd revisit these little island props.

If all the time loop stuff is taken seriously then you have to think about the unlikely about everything. Maybe last time Artz didn't blow himself up and maybe it's Artz and Shannon or whatever. Time loops lead to a mess and even more crazy theroies. Maybe at the end of the series Jack dies like he was supposed to do in the pilot and lost can go on like it should have

OK, lets try to narrow it down-couples and the likelihood they would be/stay on the island

Charlie and Claire:  Charlie is now deceased, barring an unlikely comeback.  I dont see Claire wanting to stay on the island anyway-low probability
Kate and Sawyer:  I see Sawyer trying to get off this island any way he can, Kate, might decide to stay if the little issues can be resolved, like people trying to kill them, violent smoke monsters, etc- possible, not too probable
Kate and Jack - Could be the 'curveball' route, she now knows Jack loves her, could leave the 'bad boy' Sawyer and return with Jack to the Island, starting the whole mess again - Possible
Alex and Karl - I dont see either of them wanting to stay when they learn about a little thing called "Malls" and the Internet,- nope, nope, nope
Rose and Bernard - my sleeper pick, She will stay because she is healed, he will stay because all he wants is her to be well so they can be together-very Possible
Des and Penny - she isnt even on the island yet, so dont know if they are viable candidates - possible, but at this point, not probable
other candidates (once again, IMO only!)

Hurley and Libby (only if the time loop/alternate timelines is in effect)
Aaron and baby Sun/Jin

How neat it would be if someone like Shannon, Boone, Libby were the skeletons (also meaning a time loop theory would be triggered).

A bit off topic - but I guess if there IS  loop, while "dead means dead" it may not mean dead with da loop!
