Welcome to the Lost Island Forum. I'm glad you’re here and hope you have fun.

I have established guidelines to make life easier here for everyone (moderators included) and would appreciate your cooperation.

The following are all pretty much common sense guidelines and will not be aggressively enforced!

Here are a few things I would like to stress to you.

We are a community here. Many of us are friends and have known each other for a long time. You will notice this immediately. We also are, for the most part, a friendly bunch and will embrace you into the community. But certain behaviors are not appropriate and you will be expected to follow some basic guidelines to ensure your acceptance and/or happiness here.

  • We are a multi-cultural board. You will be expected to be tolerant of another’s social and/or religious beliefs. They are expected to grant you the same respect.

  • We are a multi-age board. There are minors here and adults will be expected to act like adults towards them.

If you treat the members here with respect and they return the favor, everything will be just fine.

We also have posting guidelines which, if followed, will make your life here much easier.

Do a quick search to see if your topic is being discussed elsewhere. Be as specific as possible in your search. If you find a thread, read through it and post your idea there. The search is not always successful or as thorough as we would like, but we still recommend it as a starting place.

It’s in the wrong place. We have forums based on different criteria and try to keep it as organized as possible for all the posters. A major breakthrough about the story arc, theme/tone or scientific/literary theory that can be expanded upon should be posted in Theories & Speculations; an exciting idea about a particular topic should go in General Discussion; a spoiler (information about the story that has not aired) goes into the Spoiler Forum.

Any questions regarding any of the above can be directed in the help thread.

If your post contains information not previously broadcast on the show or an aired preview but includes details relating to a future broadcast or plotline:

1. It is a SPOILER. It goes in Spoilers.

2. Any theories that are sparked by a spoiler must be labeled as such. ST (Spoiler Theory) should be placed in the title of your thread.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask any of the moderators or admins. Write us a note and we’ll respond as soon as we can. Or post in the Help Desk Thread.

We encourage you to follow these guidelines. You will feel less frustration and have a far better time. Read everything you can get your hands on and put your ideas out there for others to read. Have fun.
