ILE and I came up with this while IM'ing today.  I though I would run it by all of you to get more opinions.  I think it's an interesting idea, but then I think all of my idea's are interesting.

Fozzie: ohh..the interesting thing about the snowglobe..if Ben had a week before the tumor was inoperable in real time would he have longer on the island?  or why didn't he just go to the other island and get healed like Rose and Locke?

ILE: ooh, hmm. I also wondered why the 'healing properties' don't seem to have helped him

Fozzie: mebbe they only work on the lostie island..but you would think he could go to the other island..unless they only work close to the electormagnetic thing...

ILE: yeah, it's weird

Fozzie: it is strange..unless he is immune to the healing powers b/c he grew up there...

Fozzie: and wouldn't it be interesting synconicity if we found out that was same reason Locke couldn't walk..similar inoperable tumors...mebbe genetic?

ILE: ooh yes that would be interesting

Fozzie: because Jack said in a week it would be inoperable and he wouldn't be able to walk right?  or maybe Locke had surgury for his and that is how he ended up in the wheelchair?  Maybe that is why they wanted Locke..to see if they could figure out how he was healed and do the same for Ben..could be why Ben came to get him himself.

I've bolded the parts that are the most related..now what do you think?

Or did Locke's arrival on the island somehow trigger a reaction in Ben, healing one (the 'light') and harming the other (the 'dark')???
